IPCL – A FIRAS Accredited Company
| The FIRAS scheme operated by Warrington Certification Limited is an industry recognised independent 3rd party scheme devised for the certification of companies involved in the installation of passive and active fire protection products and systems. |
|
The scheme is sub-divided into various “scope” categories including:
As a requirement of FIRAS, IPCL has undergone a 3-stage assessment of:
-
their office management systems
workmanship on site
the competence of both supervisory staff and installation operatives in the
installation of the scope of fire protection for which the company has applied
-
Being successfully certificated, IPCL is subject to ongoing inspection of its site workmanship on an ongoing random basis, continuous assessment of the competence of supervision and operatives, and twice yearly office audits of its management systems by FIRAS Inspectors.
As a FIRAS contractor, IPCL is required to provide details of ALL NEW CONTRACTS to FIRAS to enable random inspection of the works and is also required to issue a Certificate of Conformity upon completion of the contract workscope.
By using IPCL, a FIRAS certificated contractor, you, the client, are gaining assurance that the work is carried out by a competent workforce, supervised by individuals who are competent in the technicalities of the specific type of fire protection works being undertaken. IPCL is also providing confidence by issuing a certificate to the Client upon completion of the contract works, which is specification related and has meaning.
